What are Fibroids?
Fibroids are tumors present in the uterus, but they are not always cancerous. It has been estimated that at least 30%-40% of the women can have a fibroid uterus. They are more common in women who did not bear children and those having one child.
The cause of fibroids is still not exact. It could be genetic or due to hormonal imbalance.

Surgical methods:
Hysterectomy- It is the removal of the complete uterus.
Symptoms like heavy bleeding and abdominal pain are relieved by fibroid surgery. For most of the fibroid-related symptoms, removal of the uterus is a permanent solution.
Recovery After Surgery:
Recovery from a fibroid removal surgery will depend on the type of surgery you are having. For a hysterectomy and myomectomy, recovery might take 2-6 weeks. The recovery time for fibroid ablation will depend on the type of ablation you had.
